CF log 19/06/17 (Mon)

Evening class today cos had an early morning meeting :( Which actually ruined my week cos of the work that got assigned then. SIGH. I really wish I was sick sometimes to escape these responsibilities ><

But anyway, as usual, crossfit makes everything better LOL. (ok maybe except on days when there are movements I can’t do/suck at – read: DUs. Hahahah jk)

Felt like a double wod today because we started with:

30 C&Js [(135#)]

I finished it in about 17:30? Could choose between power and squat cleans and I was doing power all the way.

Shared a bar with Yzanne. She did it in sets of 3, while I did it in sets of 2. She was linking her clean to jerks while I was breaking them up :P Strong siaaa. I think she was done before 12min… or around there lol.

Yayy fun wod today! And not too tiring :D

Partner WOD

100 GHD + lock-out hold [(85#)]
100 burpees + deadlift hold [(155#)]
100 wall balls + front rack hold [(105#)]
100 KB swings + back squat hold [(105#)]

So basically while one person is working on the 100 reps thing, the other person does the hold, then swap till 100 reps are completed. 100 reps are shared! I think everyone finished with at least 15min to spare lol.

Not very sure if I went up to 90+kg for the squats though I thought I did hit 205#?? But when I think back about how we added the weights, I can’t seem to get that number hm. Oh well, the weight is about there anyway hahaha.

Took turns with Whitney. Coach wanted us to start with 25# plates on each side but we took 15#+2.5kg and she was like wtf might as well just take the 25# hahahah. Oops :P

Made it for morning class today. It really is quite tiring to do evening yesterday then morning today. It’s like doing 2 wods in a day haha!

CF log 30/05/17 (Tue)

Went for evening class today cos it was raining super heavily this morning and I wasn’t very keen on using an umbrella in that storm – cos it wouldn’t have helped anyway. And since I was free tonight, why not just go for the evening class! So I did :P Still got my wod in so, happy! Back to morning classes tmr!

Coach asked why I didn’t go in the morning, and I said rain. She just rolled her eyes at me LOL.

So I usually don’t write about warm-ups but thought it is worth a mention today cos I was able to do ~25 DUs on average for the DU-air squat tabata haha! In the mornings, I usually do less than 20 I think LOL oops. Somehow DUs felt so smooth. Actually, I felt pretty energised/pumped up in the evening class compared to mornings haha!

All of us shared bars I guess cos it was quite crowded. I shared a bar with Belle so we did singles for C&J and snatches, and sets of 5 for thrusters. I think we could have done more if we each had our own bar! I was surprisingly not super shag after the wod… like I thought I would be more tired… Well, guess it’s the “evening class effect”~~ more energy and pumped up haha!

Partner wod again :D Thankfully lol, cos at first I thought it was a solo one… and that would actually have been CRAZY hahaha.

Switched partner every round, took about 45min to finish. So we each did 50 TTB, 100 burpees, 150 deadlifts! :O Surprisingly felt ok after the wod though haha, like it wasn’t as shag as I thought it’d be, nor as shag as some other (partner) wods. Quite fun!

Omg there were so many movements I’m not sure if I really got everything down?? ^^” It was 30 reps of everything initially, but cos we did the wod too fast, coach changed it to 50 reps each! Anny and I were already at the jerks when she announced that… but she said we had to make up the 50 reps for the previous movements too so we went back to them after finishing our 50 thrusters! Managed to finish everything just in time before the next class :D It was quite fun for me!

Long partner wod. So happy my partner finished her exams so she can wod happily alr!! :D Wanted to go to Yakun, but had to meet Carousell buyer at my house ard 11, so no breakfast for me. Tomorrow!! :D

Buddy carry

Anny and I only finished 8 rounds, minus the buddy carry that round. No time to complete! Buddy carry was quite uncomfortable at first cos couldn’t find the right position to carry. But I think we got the hang of it as we went through the rounds.

I also did bar MUs differently today haha. Instead of jumping up to the bar from the box, I did the swinging motion thing using the box (idk how to describe but aiya, as long as I understand what I mean it’s good enough HAHA). Does this mean I’m one step closer to doing a legit bar MU??? xD
