Waaa I actually made the 125# one! First time doing thrusters at 125# hahaha. Is it I PR LOL x)  Didn’t TnG for the 5 reps sets; max I could do was 3 haha. But managed TnG for the 105# though! :) I missed one of the 125# but tried again and made it!

WOD

3 rounds –
12 DB reverse lunges (22.5kg) [20kg]
9 DB C&J [17.5kg]
6 pull-ups + 6 ring dips (rx: 6 bar MUs)

It was initially written as 5 rounds but coach changed it to 3 – I guess after seeing that a lot of us were struggling hahaha. Seriously though, the wod looked ok… but when I got to it, it was quite intense. I think the DB C&Js were the worst. You see, I didn’t even rx the DB movements ><

Anyway I ended up doing 4 rounds cos there was about 10min left for me to do my last round… which was sufficient! And there were still a lot of people doing the wod. So yep, decided to go for it instead of just ending early hahah. Such a shag (unexpectedly) wod though ><

CF log 01/10/17 (Sun)

Side note: I am really happy it’s the new month cos I’ve spent too much in Sept and I can finally “reset” my budget!!!

We did team series events today. Apparently they didn’t do it yesterday haha. But cos there were so many people, we didn’t synchro the movements. It was just done as though we were doing the events alone hahaha.

I felt SO SHAGGG. Mentally and physically. I blame the sun yesterday.

And “Murph”. Or’d rather our variation of it… cos there were MORE PULL-UPS TODAY. AND RING DIPS. My shoulders and arms cry in pain T_T

I shared equipment with Joyce. We did event 6 first. I was really dying at the pull-ups and ring dips LOL. My first few pull-ups especially were like shit cos it just felt damn effortful to pull myself up!

Then there was 5-7min of rest before we moved to event 5. The deadlifts killed me though it was just the usual 155# T_T I was doing them so slowly LOL. But ok, managed up to round of 18 reps. I completed the 18 deadlifts but not burpee box jumps.

Did the row first, then went up to S2OH and followed sequence. The cleans took the longest…. T_T I thought we were quite fast for the rest hahaha. Not sure how long we took but I think it was about 40-45min? It actually took longer than I expected :P We were one of the last to finish!

Partner wod again! :D I really love partner wods cos it feels like you are really working out with a buddy towards a common goal and we can push each other! I mean, can do that for normal wods too but I guess the feeling is just kinda diff? :P

Pull-ups took quite a while. But cos Anny and I did it first, I think we didn’t take overly long since we still had strength/energy to pull ourselves hahaha.

I split my snatches in sets of 7 on average so minimised the number of burpees I had to do yayyy haha. I’d rather push myself to do more snatches than more burpees.

Was contemplating to go for evening class cos lazy LOL. But I wasn’t sleeping that well cos it got quite warm at the time I was supposed to wake up. So, oh well, got up to go for class haha.

10-8-6-4-2 snatches (rx in #: 80-95-105-135-145) – dno why the increments so weird lol

I just like to count my weights in kg la haha. But basically worked up from ~80# to 115# for the last 2 reps. Matched the rx till completed set of 6. Tried my best to string all the sets but it got hard for 8 and 6 cos no chalk T_T and I missed the last rep for the set of 4 (which I made up for)  :/ In the end only strung for 10 and 2 lol.

Oh ya, was doing power snatch for 10-8-6, then squat snatch for 4-2.

WOD

Run 2 rounds (~400m)
21 KB swings [(24kg)]
12 pull-ups

Took less than 20min to finish this. I actually did the runs damn slowly :P

Back at crossfit in the morning, after going for a session last evening lol. 12hrs apart is a bit insane. But I made it. Was so tempted to skip today but glad I didn’t.

“I wish I didn’t wake up for the wod” – said no one, ever hahaha.

Strength/skill

7 x 1 squat snatch [37.7kg to 55.8kg] – missed last 2 at 60.8kg then 58.3kg
5 x 5 snatch grip deadlift @ 75% of snatch, pause at dip position before standing [51.8kg]

This part was so similar to last night. Actually even the warm-up was similar cos we did tabata with DUs again. Except that it was alternated with jumping pull ups today instead of air squats (yesterday).

WOD

21-cal bike (30-cal for guys)

Then 5 rounds –
30 DUs
7 DB hang squat clean (20kg) [15kg first round; the rest rx 20kg]

Then 20 pull-ups + 20 ring dips (rx: 10 MUs)

Took 20-25min for the wod haha. At 8am I only just finished the 5 rounds. The DB cleans were quite tough! The DB kept hitting my wrist as I let them down after each rep… gonna get bruises there now >< I think my wrist needs to be stronger and less “floppy” so I can hold the DBs in position such that they don’t flop around and hit my wrist so much next time? Is that the right line of thought/logic? Hahaha :P

Morning after the ekiden run! The run was actually quite fun. I ran my fastest ever 5km! I think about 28-29min for 5.3km :D I did feel like dying after that though hahaha.

Partner wod today! Unlike yesterday, we though the wod was meant for one person, but it was actually shared reps! :D 3 benchmark girls workouts initially but we ended a bit too early so coach added in another one haha.

Partnered Whitney and I think we took about 40min (or less?) to finish all the 4 ‘mini workouts’! I think could have finished faster if I was faster cos Whitney is damn fast?! HAHA. For the last workout, I did 155# deadlifts all the way till the last 3 reps I added 10kg… but Whitney already started out with the weight I ended with, and she was increasing weights each round till it ended up as 155#+30kg (lazy to calculate) haha!

Wod was pretty crazy today. Really would feel like puking going through it :P Thought there might be a chance it was gonna be partner style… but NO D:

Burpees were quite the killer after a while. My last few rounds, I took 30sec just for 3 burpees lol. Finished before the 30min mark, but I slacked a bit for the ring dips. Used a band for the last few reps… and there were actually quite a few reps before that where I didn’t lock out my elbows but still counted the reps :P Even so I was stuck at ring dips for at least 5-6min?!!
